One of the most exciting pre-conference events in AHP history was the Rootin’, Tootin’, Cowboy Mounted & Photo Shootin’ event held at Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Center, Queen Cave, Arizona. This interactive clinic instructed member participants on how to become a Cowboy Mounted Shooter and compete in a friendly competition. Members also learned from Western Horseman editor-in-chief, Ross Hecox, how to enhance both their technical and creative skills photographing western horses in action using the cowboy mounted shooting clinic.
