The wait is Over! The Top 15 Rodeo Athletes in the world have secured their spots at the prestigious National Finals Rodeo. These well-deserved athletes have proven their talents in the 2023 season, now, it’s time to witness the ultimate showdown as they compete for the coveted World Title.
Team SUCCEED® athletes Haven Meged, Tie-Down Roping; Shelby Boisjoli-Meged, Breakaway Roping; Illysa Riley, Barrel Racing; and Sissy Winn, Barrel Racing head to the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada for the NFR December 7-16, 2023.
Shelby Boisjoli-Meged is no stranger to the spotlight. She has qualified for all four National Finals Breakaway Ropings and heads into Las Vegas in the number 1 spot this year. Shelby took home major wins this season across the country – from San Antonio to the final day of the season in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After clinching this final win, Shelby also broke the season’s earnings record.
2023 marks Haven Meged’s 5th NFR qualification in his young career. Having appeared in the Thomas & Mack every year since his rookie season of professional rodeo, Haven is a veteran to the bright lights of Vegas. This season Haven has had an outstanding year and is ranked 3rd in the world. With one World Championship to his name, we know he is hungry for another!
Ilyssa Riley is a first-time NFR qualifier for Team SUCCEED®. Setting the summer run on fire, Ilyssa and her team of horses caught their momentum in Reno. Ilyssa finished 8th on the Cowboy Christmas Top Money Earner list in Barrel Racing. This success continued throughout the remainder of the summer clinching her spot to her first National Finals Rodeo.
Sissy Winn will be the first to tell you it was a roller coaster of a year. However, in the final moments of the season, Sissy and her main mount, Scoop, pulled off major wins securing their second trip to the NFR. Sissy had success on the biggest stages this year – from Rodeo Houston to Ellensburg, Washington proving she and Scoop can win in any setup.
