Cyril Pittion-Rossillon, graduate of the French National Riding School in Saumur, brings a unique perspective to riding instruction and coaching. Having competed on the Open Jumper Circuit and through Preliminary Eventing in France, Cyril is no stranger to having learned, practiced then learned to teach French Classical Dressage Principles in his early education.
With teaching based on the French Classical riding tradition, everyone can benefit from sound, time tested and humane principles. Cyril has found a niche with the Dressage Principles Difference. His talent to assess a horse and rider, develop a plan to reach a specific goal and execute that goal is second to none.
After more than 30 years in the United States, as well as abroad, teaching and coaching, Cyril has schooled riders at Grand Prix Dressage in National and CDI Levels as well as Amateurs through FEI and riders to improve their jumping for hunters, equitation and eventing. His concentration in dressage has taken new heights in recent years in working with riders at the FEI Levels through Grand Prix, including USDF National Qualifiers.
In 2023, Cyril’s teaching tours took him from the Mid-Atlantic region, concentrated in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and to the Midwest including Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. With more than five years at each of these regions, and having celebrated ten years in the Midwest, some locations are on the schedule every year and first-time venues are added annually. Tour locations may choose from a variety of group clinics with classroom/theory and Q & As on a variety of topics.
Kristin Carey, owner of Hippophile Farm in LaPointe, WI has hosted Cyril for many years. She appreciates bringing Cyril to her Farm “because the riders always leave with new things to work on and the tools to do them correctly”.
As 2023 comes to a close, Pittion-Rossillon reflects on the year with hundreds of students and Cyril is proud of the success of each rider as well as the connections he has made throughout the year, “I enjoy teaching riders and horses of all levels and work hard to design the best educational experience whatever the goal might be!”
With 2024 on the horizon, the Palm Equestrian Academy team seeks to expand Cyril’s teaching tours to new locations.
