The EQUUS Television Network is thrilled to announce that Ron Allen, EQUUS senior correspondent and world-renowned Polo commentator, will be on the scene at the 2024 Queen’s Cup in Windsor, England. This prestigious event, a highlight of the international polo calendar, promises to deliver thrilling competition and showcase some of the finest talent in the sport.
The Queen’s Cup, established in 1960 to honor Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, continues to be a cornerstone of the polo season. This year, it is particularly special as His Majesty King Charles III, who succeeded Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, has accepted the role of President of the club. His Majesty follows in the footsteps of his father, His Late Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who founded the club in January 1955 and served as its President until his passing in April 2021.
Among the notable participants this year are two La Dolfina foursomes, La Dolfina Scone and La Dolfina Great Oaks, marking the debut of Adolfo Cambiaso’s organization in the English high goal circuit, following a successful season in Palm Beach.
