Dressage Today OnDemand — your complete online video-on-demand dressage training resource — is pleased to announce that coaches Steffen Peters and AnnA Buffini will be heading down centerline at the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final in Omaha, Nebraska, April 4-8, 2023.
Five-Time Olympian, five-time World Championships and five-time FEI Dressage World Cup™ Finals veteran Steffen Peters is a dressage icon, producing and piloting several great horses to Olympic, World Cup, Pan Am Games and major Grand Prix wins and results across the globe. The 58-year-old athlete won three legs of the North American League, all in Thermal in California, and sits atop the North American leaderboard heading into World Cup competition.
Riding the 15-year-old Suppenkasper with which he helped clinch team silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and who also carried him to team silver at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2018 in Tryon, USA, Peters produced consistently strong winning scores of 80.020, 81.590 and 80.785. Crowned series champion in Las Vegas, USA back in 2009 with Ravel, he is bound to be a crowd favorite in Omaha at this year’s finale.
Top Grand Prix competitor AnnA Buffini claimed a coveted ticket to the World Cup™ Final with her win in the IDA Development FEI World Cup™ Grand Prix Freestyle at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) earlier this month. Buffini will be aboard FRH Davinia La Douce, a 16-year-old by Don Frederico. The pair finished twelfth in the 2022 FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final in Leipzig, Germany. They train with Olympic medalist Guenter Seidel, whom she credits for much of her success.
