Award Based on Supporter Recommendations
Brooke USA Foundation has been awarded, for the third consecutive year, the Top-Rated Non-Profits Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading website for community recommendations of charities and nonprofits. The reviews shared by individuals who volunteer and contribute Brooke USA can be viewed at https://greatnonprofits.org/org/brooke-usa-inc.
“We are particularly honored to be named a 2022 Top-Rated Nonprofit as this recognition reflects that our work is important to our friends and supporters,” said Emily Dulin, Chief Executive Officer of Brooke USA. The mission of Brooke USA is to significantly improve the health, welfare and productivity of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people who depend on them for survival worldwide.
The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the charities listed – as donors and volunteers. “There is no charity in the United States that covers the ground that Brooke USA does. As part of the Brooke family, the largest and most effective equine welfare group of charities in the world, some of the poorest countries receive considerable assistance in improving the husbandry and welfare of working horses and donkeys. These animals provide the livelihood for many of the world’s most at risk people. Brooke USA does an excellent job of raising funds that are then applied to the improvement of equine welfare in many low-income countries and in so doing contributes to the measurable improvement of these animals and the families they support,” wrote one reviewer.
The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards is the one and only people’s choice award where volunteers, donors, and people served by nonprofits are asked to share stories of inspiration, express their appreciation, and potentially help nonprofits earn the prestigious GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Nonprofits Badge.
GreatNonprofits offers a free and easy-to-use platform to share and collect reviews and stories about the community of nonprofits—so donors and volunteers learn about their good work. It focuses on helping people make giving decisions through personal feedback and reviews. Dulin added that “GreatNonprofits helps donors and volunteers differentiate between nonprofits, find ones that they trust, and encourages them to be more confident in giving and/or volunteering”.
