Contest Offers Chance for Videographers to Win Prize Money
Equine Network LLC is excited to invite other equine enthusiasts and content providers to enter the Horse Week® Film Contest. Held in conjunction with Horse Week, brought to you by Boehringer Ingelheim, in early October, the Horse Week Film Contest is an opportunity for both amateurs and professionals to demonstrate their equine storytelling skills. Horse Week, in its second year, is an equine-centric online digital festival unlike any other, offering horse lovers around the world the chance to connect with content encompassing many varieties of breeds, disciplines and people.
The Horse Week Film Contest allows professional or amateur videographers to submit equine related videos for a chance to win cash prizes. Winners will also have their videos featured as part of Horse Week content.
Jacob McLane was the 2021 Horse Week Film Contest winner. His winning film, “1017 Project”, is based on Jordan Weaver, founder of the 1017 Project—a 501c3 charity that produces roping events that then donates the cattle used to local food supply outlets that feed food insecure populations.
“This is a special opportunity for both amateur and professional videographers and editors to showcase their work highlighting the amazing stories found throughout the equine industry,” says Equine Network Video Project Manager Mariah Hammerschmidt.
Submit video entries, 5 to 45 minutes in length. There will be a cash prize for the film contest winner of $7500. Participants may enter multiple videos.
Ready to submit an entry? Entries are open now through Friday, July 15, 2022.
