All Spice Awarded 2021 NCHA Open Horse of the Year

With 630 points, All Spice, owned by Teton Ridge, wins NCHA Open Horse of the Year

Teton Ridge is excited to announce that with 630 points, All Spice has been awarded the 2021 NCHA Open Horse of the Year.

“I owe her a lot more than she does me,” said her trainer, Adan Banuelos. “I don’t have the words to justify what she meant and did for me. The caliber of cow sense and strength that she possesses is very rare.”

All Spice is sired by Once in a Blue Boon and out of Show Biz Kitty. Her lifetime earnings are $382,281.35, after achieving 2020 NCHA Open Futurity Champion, 2021 Cattleman’s Derby Open Champion, 2021 El Rancho Futurity Open Derby Champion, and 2021 PCCHA Futurity Open Derby Champion.

All Spice is a full or half-sister to five money-earners, including full brother Badboonarising ($367,101, by Once In A Blu Boon) and half-siblings Rollz Royce ($353,872, by Dual Smart Rey), SS Blacks Lil Kitty ($187,137, by Duals Blue Boon), Show Biz Kit Kat ($123,575, by Mr Peppys Freckles) and Meant To B ($16,559, by Dual Rey).

Teton Ridge purchased All Spice earlier this year when they joined forces with Jeremy Barwick and Western Bloodstock. The singular focus of the partnership is to create a world-class line of equine athletes bred specifically for western disciplines. Teton Ridge looks forward to All Spice’s future as a broodmare, with 2 foals coming in 2022.

Teton Ridge’s ultimate plan calls for the creation of programs at Teton Ridge’s new state-of-the-art breeding and training facility at TR9 Ranch in Weatherford, Texas, which will pair best-in-class equine athletes with top trainers so they can both reach their fullest potential.
