Horse shootings across the United States have left owners shocked, scared and angry. Crimes Against Nature returns this month to examine the crime and what horse owners can do in “Targeted,” the podcast’s 7th episode.
Host and award-winning journalist Julie Bryant profiles three cases, including the shocking Arkansas shooting of three horses, leading to an arrest following a frantic 9-1-1 call, along with two additional cases in Texas and Maryland that are still seeking answers. Bryant speaks to Arkansas law enforcement about that arrest, and gains insight on the steps law enforcement takes and what owners should do if faced with the crime. Owners of the shooting victims in Texas and Maryland also share the shock of finding their suffering horses and frustration with the challenges of communication with law enforcement, collecting evidence or knowing if there is any hope the shooter will get caught.
