The Right Horse to Host 2021 Summit from September 15-17

The third annual ASPCA Right Horse Summit will host thought leaders and innovators in the equine industry for two and a half days of collaboration and networking in Denver.

The 2021 Right Horse Summit, taking place from September 15-17 in Denver, will bring together equine welfare and industry pioneers and leaders for two and a half days of discussion and ideation for the benefit of at-risk equines. This year’s Summit will continue to be a manifestation of the collective of partners and programs that give life to the equine adoption movement.

Hosted by the Right Horse Initiative, a program of the ASPCA®, the Summit schedule includes opportunities to engage with and learn from a variety of industry professionals, equine welfare organizations, and advocates, and celebrate the collective work being done to help horses and massively increase equine adoption. A variety of resources, hands-on training experiences with live horses, networking and collaborative activities, and more will be delivered to registered participants at the event.

New to the Summit this year is a competitive grant challenge. Grant finalists from non-profit partner organizations will pitch live to a panel of judges and receive immediate feedback to potentially win up to $30,000 in funding for their program to increase equine adoption.

“Partners of the Right Horse Initiative continue to make incredible strides in their respective communities and corners of the equine industry by helping more horses find homes and spreading awareness to elevate the welfare of all equines,” said Dr. Emily Weiss, Vice President of ASPCA Equine Welfare. “Last year, nearly 200 industry pioneers and leaders in the equine industry virtually joined the Summit. We look forward to hosting both Partners and newcomers alike in-person this September to celebrate the collective work being done to shatter stigmas about horses in transition and massively increase equine adoption.”

The Summit is open to Right Horse Adoption Partners, Industry Partners, and active Warm-Up Ring participants. Any individual or group not yet a Right Horse Partner is welcome to register for two half-day sessions to learn more about The Right Horse’s work and explore how they can get involved in the equine adoption movement. Registration is free to all attendees. All are encouraged to register by August 30 at therighthorse.org/summit.
