America’s Horse in Art Show & Sale, Fundraiser for the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum, opens with a special reception on Saturday, August 12, in Amarillo, Texas
The 2023 America’s Horse in Art Show & Sale begins August 12 at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum in Amarillo, Texas. A reception will be held on opening day at 6:30 p.m. for a chance to meet some of the participating artists and for attendees to have the first opportunity view and purchase art in a ballot style auction and enjoy entertainment by RW Hampton. Also featured during the evening is the announcement of the Steel Dust Award which recognizes the best piece of the show and is sponsored by Art of the West magazine.
The exclusive, invitation-only show includes oil, acrylic, watercolor, pencil, charcoal, bronze and other media in artworks depicting the American Quarter Horse lifestyle. The 2023 show features the works of twenty-nine renowned western artists.
The show will also honor one artist with the Steel Dust Award, sponsored by Art of the West magazine. The award was introduced to recognize.
An online preview of the show is available at aqha.com/artshow. After opening night, remaining art will be available for purchase online until October 14. All artwork will remain on display at the Museum through the end of the exhibit, October 14.
