Activities and Events Director, The United States Pony Clubs, Inc.

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) is the largest equine educational organization in North America. Started in 1954 and originally based on Great Britain's The Pony Club, the curriculum teaches riding skills and the care of horses through mounted and unmounted lessons. USPC has created a wide range of instructional and competitive opportunities in various disciplines and involving various breeds of horse, along with special opportunities and programs. There are so many options for members to continue learning about horses and to participate in hands-on learning.

We are seeking an Activities and Events Director who has horsemanship experience, can coordinate USPC events and has a passion for everything horse related. National Competitions and our annual Convention allows members from all over the United States to connect, compete, learn horsemanship, develop critical life skills, and become the type of equestrian they have always dreamed of.

Requirements:
• Experience or educational background in volunteer management and organization, event planning, program services.
• A depth of knowledge of equestrian sport and disciplines.
• Computer knowledge is a must.
• Have working knowledge of budgets.
• Contract negotiation skills.

Some travel, evenings and weekend work is required.

Facilitates all Activities programs and events through cooperation with the Activities Council and Committee members; encourages and assists volunteers in meeting deadlines and obligations; provides support for and assistance to the VP of Activities and other volunteers. Maintains ongoing connections and communication with other key equine organizations, nationally as well as internationally. Is responsible for the organization and implementation of all USPC Festival, the USPC Convention, and special events.
