Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sponsorship sales, corporate partnerships, or a related role, preferably within the equestrian or sports industry.

  • Proven track record of securing and managing high-value sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the equestrian industry and a deep understanding of its unique dynamics.
  • Knowledge of Liberty is preferred but not required.

About the International Liberty Horse Association (ILHA)
The ILHA is the first and only recognized association for the Liberty discipline. The ILHA was founded to promote the Liberty discipline and celebrate Liberty training, horses, trainers, competitors and fans everywhere. The ILHA has organized the discipline of Liberty with an official competition structure, guidelines and rules that promote safety, fun, consistency and creativity for all involved. The ILHA serves as the Official Governing Body for the Liberty discipline and offers local, national, international, online, specialty and championship Liberty horse shows. Above all, the ILHA educates and promotes Liberty horsemanship through its website, publications, shows, competitions, events and social media platforms.

Position Overview:
The Sponsorship & Corporate Partnership Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success and industry presence of the International Liberty Horse Association and its flagship event the Liberty Festival. This dynamic individual (or company) will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with corporate sponsors and partners, securing sponsorships, and creating innovative partnership opportunities to enhance the association and festival's offerings and reach. This is a contract position, with compensation based on commission.

Position Responsibilities:
Sponsorship Acquisition & Management:

  • Identify, approach, and secure new sponsorship opportunities to support the financial goals of the International Liberty Horse Association and specifically Liberty Festival.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring fulfillment of sponsorship agreements and high levels of satisfaction.
  • Develop customized sponsorship packages that align with the goals and values of both the ILHA/Liberty Festival and potential sponsors.

Corporate Partnership Development:

  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key industry players, including equestrian brands, media outlets, and other relevant organizations.
  • Collaborate with partners to create mutually beneficial programs, activations, and promotions that enhance association membership and the festival experience for attendees.
  • Manage all aspects of partnership agreements, including negotiation, execution, and performance tracking.

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Work closely with the event planning team to integrate sponsor and partner activations seamlessly into the festival programming.
  • Oversee the execution of sponsorship deliverables, ensuring that all partner commitments are met and that activations run smoothly.
  • Provide on-site support during the festival to ensure sponsor and partner satisfaction.

Marketing & Communications:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that highlight sponsor and partner involvement.
  • Create compelling content and materials that effectively communicate the value of sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on the impact of sponsorship and partnership activities, providing insights and recommendations for future initiatives.

Compensation:This is a contract position with compensation based on commission. The commission structure will be discussed during the interview process.
