Media Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS), email marketing tools (HubSpot), and Google Analytics (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of photography and videography for social media content.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools is a plus.

The National Reined Cow Horse Association, based in Pilot Point, Texas, seeks a motivated and efficient full-time Media Coordinator.

The Media Coordinator will report directly to the NRCHA Director of Media & Communications. This will be an in-office position which will be located at the NRCHA headquarters in Pilot Point, Texas.    

The applicant will support the association's communication and marketing efforts by assisting with creating, scheduling, and monitoring digital content across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about the equine industry. This position requires travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Assist in developing content (text, image, and video) for social media platforms, websites, email campaigns, and newsletters.
  • Social Media Management: Schedule and publish social media posts, monitor engagement, and interact with followers.
  • Event Support: Assist in coordinating media coverage during produced events, program campaigns, and other industry activities.
  • Press Releases: Assist with writing press releases regarding recent events, milestones, and partnerships on behalf of the association.
  • Website Updates: Support the maintenance and updates of the association's website, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Email Marketing: Assist in creating and distributing email campaigns and newsletters to the membership.
