First 100 attendees take home goodie bags filled with Kelcie’s Horse Treats, Dreamers & Schemers socks, gift certificates, and more, and first 50 trainers receive a free Equestrian Stockholm saddle pad!
#WeRideTogether, a nonprofit whose mission is to prevent sexual misconduct in sport through education, awareness, and resources, is continuing to spark conversation around the subject of sexual abuse prevention and is hosting its first Community Creativity Day and Silent Auction on June 26, during the USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic, Presented by Intermont Equestrian and Emory & Henry University. The special event takes place from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm in the upstairs VIP lounge at Traverse City Horse Shows.
In addition to enjoying bracelet & bridle charm making, cookie decorating, and food, attendees can bid on amazing silent auction items to benefit #WeRideTogether, including an Ariat Rider Backpack, Rider’s Boutique Gift Certificate, MultiTek horse boots from Equifit, an Andrew Ryback Photography mini portrait session, and much more. Attendees will also have access to free educational materials highlighting important topics, such as what healthy coach-athlete dynamics look and feel like. These resources empower our coaches and athletes to foster sustainable, safe, and fun sport. Additionally, this event supports and celebrates the talented junior riders who entered the USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic.
“Creating and maintaining safe athletic environments is a team sport – and we are grateful for the support of USHJA and Traverse City Horse Shows in helping make equestrian sport the safest, healthiest place for everyone,” said Michaela Callie, Executive Director of #WeRideTogether. “This type of leadership will keep horse sport thriving.”

ABOUT #WERIDETOGETHER
Founded in 2021, #WeRideTogether started as an awareness campaign and educational website designed to empower, inform, and unite the equestrian community around sexual misconduct prevention and create healthy training environments for all sports. Showcasing powerful first-person interviews from sexual abuse survivors, #WeRideTogether promotes transparent dialogue around sexual misconduct, raises awareness for the many forms grooming and abuse can take, and helps diminish the stigma and fear of coming forward by giving survivors a safe platform to share their voices. The organization has since grown into a 501(c)3 and is creating a blueprint to help make all sports safer for youth, amateur, and professional athletes.
