Brooke USA Foundation Earns Candid’s Gold Seal

~Gold Seal is only given to the top non-profits for transparency and accountability~

For the fourth consecutive year, Candid awarded Brooke USA Foundation  the GuideStar Gold Seal, ranking it among the country’s best non-profit organizations for transparency and accountability.

In today’s ever-changing philanthropic environment, donors seek transparency and accountability from the organizations they choose to support. The Candid’s Seal of Transparency reconfirms that Brooke USA is worthy of its donors’ confidence and generosity.

The Gold Seal recognizes non-profit organizations for sharing information about their finances, leadership, demographics, programs, organization, and mission. Less than two percent of the 1.8 million non-profits included in Candid have earned a Gold Seal.

“It is with great pride that we, once again, accept Candid’s Gold Seal,” said Brooke USA’s Board Chairman Jim Hamilton, DVM. “Our Board of Directors and staff work tirelessly to maintain a transparent and efficient organization while ensuring the highest possible portion of Brooke USA’s budget is directed to funding vital programs that improve the welfare of working equines and the quality of life of their owners,” Hamilton added.

Candid’s GuideStar rankings are the world’s largest source of information on non-profit organizations. Its mission is to revolutionize philanthropy by providing information that advances transparency, enables users to make better decisions, and encourages charitable giving. Candid was formed in 2019 when GuideStar and Foundation Center merged.

“We are thrilled to once again receive this recognition from Candid,” said Emily Dulin, Brooke USA’s Chief Executive Officer. ” It is reflective of Brooke USA’s proven success in attaining full financial transparency. This seal is crucial for financially trustworthy and responsible non-profits. This designation enhances our ability to fund worldwide programs dedicated to helping those who need it most – human and animal,” noted Dulin.

Brooke USA is a non-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization focused alleviating the suffering of working horses, donkeys, and mules and those they serve in vulnerable communities across the globe and right here in the United States. This remarkable achievement reinforces Brooke USA’s unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability.

In celebrating this milestone, Brooke USA remains steadfast in its mission to make a global difference. “Brooke USA looks forward to continuing its work with transparency, innovation, and dedication to the communities served,” concluded Dulin.
