Keeneland’s 80th November Breeding Stock Sale, which will offer proven producers, coveted broodmare prospects who were successful racehorses and royally bred weanlings at all levels of the market, will begin Wednesday and run nine sessions through Thursday, Nov. 16.
The auction will open with a single-day Book 1, which starts at 1 p.m. ET and will showcase an exceptional group of highly prized broodmares in foal to leading sires, broodmare prospects and weanlings.
Broodmares in the catalog for the opening session include Grade 1 producer Ack Naughty in foal to Into Mischief; Grade 1 winner Dalika (GER) in foal to Flightline; and stakes winner Puca, who is carrying a full sibling to 2023 Kentucky Derby (G1) Presented by Woodford Reserve winner Mage.
Racing or broodmare prospects cataloged to Book 1 include Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1) winner Caravel, who has earned nearly $2 million; 2023 Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) third-place finisher Le Da Vida (CHI); Grade 1 winner Rhea Moon (IRE); Grade 2 winner Skims (GB); Grade 2 winner and millionaire Technical Analysis (IRE), winner of the Oct. 27 Athenia S. (L) at Belmont at the Big A; Grade 2 winner and dual G1-placed Bellabel (IRE); Grade 2 winner Interstatedaydream, winner of Friday’s Turnback the Alarm S. (L) at Aqueduct; Grade 3 winners Hidden Connection and Surprisingly, among many others.
Breeding Stock Sale schedule
A total of 3,584 horses are cataloged to the November Breeding Stock Sale, which will present the following schedule:
Book 1 – Wednesday, Nov. 8. Session begins at 1 p.m. with 252 horses in the catalog.
Every remaining session begins at 10 a.m.:
Book 2 – Thursday-Friday, Nov. 9-10. A total of 812 horses are cataloged over the two days.
Book 3 – Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 11-12. A total of 829 horses are cataloged over the two days.
Book 4 – Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 13-14. A total of 832 horses are cataloged over the two days.
Book 5 – Wednesday-Thursday, Nov. 15-16. A total of 859 horses are cataloged over the two days.
All Keeneland sales are livestreamed at Keeneland.com. FanDuel TV will have live hits for Book 1. The full sale will air on the FanDuel TV+ OTT app.
