The 2023 America’s Horse in Art Show & Sale opened August 12 at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum. Exclusive pieces remain available and can be purchased at www.americashorseinart.com through October 14.
The show includes oil, acrylic, watercolor, pencil, charcoal, bronze and other media in artworks depicting the American Quarter Horse lifestyle. The 2023 show features the works of 29 hand-selected, renowned Western artists.
During the opening event, Bill Nebeker of Prescott, Arizona, won the prestigious Steel Dust Award, presented by Art of the West magazine. He was recognized for his superior quality work with his bronze, “Waltzing Across Texas.” The 2023 Steel Dust Award was selected by a panel of judges, and the award is based on artistic merit and recognizes the artist in a “best of show” competition. Nebeker’s piece is still available for purchase and would make a great addition to any collection.
