Julie Goodnight is excited to wrap up her 2023 travels with riders from all over the world at her fall horsemanship clinics, riding vacations and some of the country’s premier horse expos (JulieGoodnight.com/Events).
“I love traveling and meeting new horses and their people, and I’m very fortunate to head to my favorite places this year,” says Goodnight. “I meet so many wonderful horses, and love helping riders hone their skills and experience a better connection with their horses.”
Goodnight returns from two clinics on the Wild Atlantic Coast of Ireland, and kicks off fall in the Colorado mountains at the world-renowned C Lazy U Ranch.
“It’s the perfect time of year to be in the Colorado mountains,” says Goodnight. “The trees are changing and the weather is mild. It’s the best time of year to ride in the mountains, and we do a lot of it!”
C Lazy U Ranch (Granby, Colorado): Goodnight chose the luxurious guest ranch—with its spectacular mountain views, a remuda of over 200 horses, gourmet meals, and impeccable “5-spur” service as the setting for these unique equestrian experiences.
- Ranch Riding Adventure, October 5-9, 2023: One of Goodnight’s most popular programs, this active 4-day program is for adults of all riding abilities, and includes daily horsemanship clinics with Goodnight, guided mountain trail rides, trail obstacle challenges, and cattle sorting. The all-inclusive weekend kicks off with “Horses and Happy Hour,” an opportunity to get to know Goodnight, her team, and other guests in the company of C Lazy U’s magnificent herd of 200 horses.
- Horsemanship Immersion, October 17-22, 2023: A 5-day intensive study of all things equine. The first night kicks off with “Horses & Happy Hour,” followed by 5 days of horsemanship clinics with Goodnight, guided mountain trail rides, seminars, and hands-on workshops on groundwork, first aid, saddle fit, bits and bitting, herd behavior, training young horses, and much more!
October 26-28, Certified Horsemanship Association International Conference: This year, the CHA International Conference is hosted by Colorado State University, and it is open to all horse enthusiasts! See presentations from top horse trainers, instructors, veterinarians, farriers, and equine behaviorists. Horses are provided to clinic participants too.
