Willow Bend Publishing is excited to announce that their book, Rocket: The Miniature Morgan Horse by Ellen F. Feld, has just won a national book award. The book was selected for the 2023 Children’s Book Council’s Librarian Favorites Award List. The librarians who select the books are located in 77 rural, suburban, and urban schools and libraries in 45 states.
In addition to the honor of winning this award, it is exciting to note that an equine book, that was competing against books from a wide range of genres, from fantasy to history, still rose to the top and was selected as one of the winners.
Rocket: The Miniature Morgan Horse is the first book in Willow Bend Publishing’s new pony chapter book series, “The Miniature Morgan Horse Series.” The second book in the series, Rocket: The Blue-Ribbon Pony, is currently at the printer and will be available later this summer.
