The first live Western Dressage competition in Europe recognized by both the American Quarter Horse Association and the Western Dressage Association of America is June 24, 2023. It is an honor for Lynn Palm and show manager Marie-Frances Davis to bring their competition/educational program to Europe. After launching the inaugural events in 2022 and building to 6 events, including Italy, in 2023, the pair is eager to see the Winning Weekend grow.
Palm Equestrian Academy’s Winning Ways with Western Dressage expands this year not only in locations but in events. Saturday June 24 is an AQHA/WDAA Western Dressage show at ALBA Quarter Horses in Siena Italy. With the similarity of Western Dressage and Ranch Horse Events and Lynn Palm’s credentials to judge both, adding a second day of competition on Sunday dedicated to the Ranch Horse was a natural fit.
The Western Dressage show is open to all breeds and will offer Tests from Introductory Level to Level 5. The Ranch Horse events will include Conformation, Ranch Rail, Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail. This is a great opportunity for all around western horses and riders to showcase their versatility and earn AQHA and WDAA points in the process while receiving valuable feedback from an expert judge in both arenas.
