Wendy Murdoch’s popular videos “Webinars with Wendy” are being turned into podcasts and have found a whole new audience of listeners. “Wendy’s Whinnies” is the name of the new podcast series, which now has over 160 episodes and already more than 50,000 downloads.
“I had no idea that ‘Wendy’s Whinnies’ would be so popular!” said Wendy. “I started hosting ‘Webinars with Wendy’ during the pandemic, because people still wanted to learn about horses even though they weren’t able to attend events in person. Then I found out that people were listening to the webinars while driving their cars, waiting for appointments, working out, etc., so we began converting the audio portion of the webinars into podcasts.”
The webinars – and podcasts — cover a wide range of equine topics, include a variety of equine professionals, and are designed for a diverse population of horse enthusiasts. Some of her guests have included well-known experts in their fields such as Linda Tellington-Jones, developer of the Tellington TTouch® Training, and Dr. Hilary Clayton, equine biomechanics authority. Subjects that have been discussed include:
- Trailer Safety with Rebecca Gimenez Husted
- Kiniseo Taping
- Karen Rohlf on Dressage Naturally
- Mounted Archery
- Julien Beaugnon formerly of Cavalia
- Bit Fitting
- And health conditions like laminitis, gastric ulcers, and Lyme Disease
The video-based Webinars with Wendy can be found on YouTube, while the audio-based podcasts Wendy’s Whinnies are available on iTunes, Google Podcasts, and Podbean. Subscribe to ‘Webinars with Wendy’ or ‘Wendy’s Whinnies’ or both, and never miss an episode even if traveling, on vacation, or even showing.
