Baker, who partners with 26-Time World Champion Trevor Brazile on dozens of horses each year, grew up starting young mounts in the pasture and the feed lot. The 2021 Prairie Circuit champion header exposes his prospects to cattle early and often in real-life ranching situations to provide them with the perfect foundation for the roping pen. He and Brazile have made and sold some of the top young rope horses in the sport.
In the new young rope horse series, members can watch as Baker continues the training on a 4-year-old by Show Me The Buckles—the horse he originally started in the Roping.com colt-starting series. He demonstrates the fundamentals of pen roping and starting a colt roping live cattle out of the box, as well as breakawaying on a heel horse prospect and understanding hand use and shoulder control on a colt.
