The 2021 Farnam AQHA World, Adequan® Select World, Adequan® Level 2 and Nutrena Level 1 championships for amateur, Select amateur and open exhibitors kicked off October 28 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.
The American Quarter Horse Association kicked off one of the largest AQHA World Shows in the Association’s history on October 28 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. AQHA welcomes American Quarter Horse enthusiasts from around the world to watch the event live; general admission for all the action in the arena and trade show is free! AQHA welcomed approximately 1,800 exhibitors and 2,500 American Quarter Horses who are competing at the 2021 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show; AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan); Adequan® Level 2 Championships; and Nutrena Level 1 Championships. Classes began at 8 a.m. in the Jim Norick Arena with junior barrel racing.
More than 8,500 entries are competing for 290 championship titles, 104 Farnam AQHA World championships; 44 Adequan® Select World championships; 85 Adequan® Level 2 championships; and 40 Nutrena Level 1 championships, plus, more than $2 million in purse, prizes and the coveted gold globes at this year’s event, October 28 – November 20.
Exhibitors at the 2021 Farnam AQHA World and Adequan® Select World have the opportunity to compete for more than $500,000 in optional jackpot classes and more than $750,000 in required purse classes. Even more added money is up for grabs in the following classes:
- $50,000 in purse and prizes for the Pleasure Versatility Challenge, brought to you by Terry Bradshaw Quarter Horses
- $25,000 added Level 3 barrel racing classes, courtesy of Standlee Premium Western Forage and the OKC Convention & Visitors Bureau
- $25,000 added working western rail and $10,000 added two-part ranch series, courtesy of Headley Quarter Horses
- $15,000 added Western Pleasure Challenge
- $5,000 added 3-year-old western pleasure stakes class, sponsored by Rusty and Katie Green
- A Sundowner trailer and additional prizes are presented to the 2021 Farnam Superhorse
- $10,000 cash to the All-Around Amateur
- $10,000 cash to the Select All-Around Amateur
