Seeking Intern for The Bookstore for Horse Lovers

The Bookstore for Horse Lovers launched in 2020 to promote and highlight our unique community and reach potential readers without getting lost in the shuffle of big-box stores.

The site is growing and I am looking for a self-starting intern interested in building their marketing and branding resume. I am looking for someone to help me grow author opportunities, exposure at events, and manage day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • 5-10 hours a week.
  • Organize author giveaways and promotions.
  • Update the website with the monthly featured author(s) or when applications are accepted for inclusion.
  • Create content and provide opportunities for engagement on social media.
  • Grow email newsletter.
  • Manage a monthly newsletter with featured author information, new releases, and giveaways.
  • Reach out to potential vendors/horse shows/events for pop-up shop opportunities.
  • Invite authors to guest post on the website blog.

This is a non-paid position for the first three months. I will review additional opportunities for responsibility and payment after this time period. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a growing brand on the ground and for aspiring authors to make connections also!

Contact me at booksforhorselovers@gmail.com or connect with me at the AHP conference next week to apply!
