The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is thrilled to announce the addition of $600,000 in added money to the upcoming 2021 NCHA Metallic Cat World Championship Futurity to be held November 17 – December 11, 2021 at the Will Rogers Memorial Complex in Fort Worth, Texas.
The $600,000 in added money will be divided among the six divisions of the NCHA Metallic Cat World Championship Futurity. The breakdown includes $300,000 added to the Open, $100,000 added to the Non-Pro, and $50,000 added to the Amateur. Furthermore, $50,000 will be added to the Limited Open, $50,000 to the Limited Non-Pro, and $50,000 to the Unlimited Amateur.
Both Open and Non-Pro divisions will see an additional quarter head of cattle per horse in the go-rounds. The Open semi-finals will advance 15 more horses than in years past, with 75 horses plus ties advancing to the Open semi-finals and 25 horses plus ties advancing further to the Open finals.
“This is an electrifying time to be in the cutting industry as we continue to prioritize growth and participation across all levels of our sport,” said Jay Winborn, NCHA executive director. “We are thrilled to build on the payouts of the upcoming NCHA Metallic Cat World Championship Futurity, and members will see this momentum translate across to the weekend level. I am enthusiastic about the return of NCHA Days in 2022 and continuing to support and grow the NCHA National Circuit Program. NCHA has made growth and participation on all levels a large priority for 2022 as we look to benefit all of our events in the coming years.”
In addition to the competition, fans both in attendance and online will enjoy an additional sale featured at the NCHA Western Bloodstock Futurity Sales with the offering of the Center Ranch Dispersal on top of the annual offerings of two-year-olds, cutting horses, and breeding stock.
The fifth payment for Open and Non-Pro entries is due September 1, 2021. This is also the deadline for the first payment for all Amateur, Limited Non-Pro, and Unlimited Amateur entries. September 1 also marks the end of all double entry and transfer privileges.
