The Dressage Foundation’s Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund to Present New Junior Rider Award at WDAA World Championship Show

The Dressage Foundation (TDF) is pleased to announce that the “Lynn Palm Future Star Award” will be presented for the first time at the 2021 Western Dressage Association of America World Championship Show. The $1,500 Award will be given to the highest scoring Junior rider (age 17 and under) at the show, which will take place in Guthrie, Oklahoma, from September 29 – October 3.

The $1,500 Lynn Palm Future Star Award will enable a promising youth rider to continue their Western Dressage training and education. It will be given to the highest placing rider aged 17 and under who competes in Intro, Basic, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 classes. The Award will be announced at the WDAA World Championship Show’s Awards Celebration on Sunday evening.

Lynn said, “Today’s riders are fortunate to have access to ways to further their education and dedication to their sport through The Dressage Foundation. I am proud to support the future of Western Dressage with the ‘Lynn Palm Future Star Award’ at the WDAA World Show. Best of luck to all the competitors!”

TDF’s Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund, established by Lynn in 2019 to give back to the sport she loves, also provides grants to amateur, youth, and professional riders who need financial support for training, and to groups that are hosting Western Dressage educational events.

“We are grateful to Lynn Palm for her continued support of Western Dressage riders,” said Jenny Johnson, TDF’s Executive Director. “Her generosity will enable riders from across the country to learn more about Western Dressage and how it can help them become better partners with their horses.”
