The Run For A Million, reining’s richest event, welcomes Platinum Performance® as the title sponsor of the $100,000 Added Open Shoot Out.
Platinum Performance, a veterinary-developed nutraceutical company that specializes in designing and manufacturing advanced nutritional support formulas for horses, companion animals and people, is an integral part of the reining community. In addition to sponsoring many riders in the industry, Platinum Performance is the Official Equine Oral Joint Supplement of the National Reining Horse Association. With its ties to reining, the company wanted to support The Run For A Million in a big way, and the Shoot Out was a great opportunity to do so, said Lauren Thompson, Equine Marketing Manager.

The Open Shoot Out is a qualifying event for the 2022 Run For A Million — the top five places, including ties, are guaranteed a spot in the 2022 Million Dollar Invitational. Unlike the other events offered at The Run For A Million, the $100,000 Open Shoot Out is open to riders from all across the globe, including non-pros. It welcomes horses of any age and breed.
“We support most all equestrian disciplines, but certainly events that provide new opportunities for riders and propel the industry forward by showcasing these amazing horses,” Thompson said. “The Run For A Million event is not only exciting for the reining industry, but Western performance as a whole. The 2021 $100,000 Open Shoot Out is giving any rider that would like to participate the chance to qualify for the 2022 event, and we’re thrilled to be a part of that amazing opportunity.”
