If you haven’t saved the date for 2021 Equine Affaire, W. Springfield, MA, November 11 through 14th, then you may miss out on one of the best opportunities of the year to showcase your equestrian business.
This year marks the 14th year that veteran exhibitor and loyal “Official Barn Sponsor” of the North-East event, Horizon Structures, has been ‘bringing the barn down’ to showcase at the massive Eastern Exposition Center for this leading gathering of horse folks from across the nation and beyond the shores.
“Horizon Structures is a stalwart supporter of this event,” says founder Dave Zook, “It was clear from the very beginning that the Equine Affaire was going to be a hugely successful venue for both vendors and buyers to come together. The educational and entertainment value of the gathering alone is worthy of attendance. I could not be happier to be a small part of the process as a sponsor and this year promises to be the best ever due to the pent up demand to get out and about.“
A familiar face at the outside exhibit of horse barns that greet visitors at the entrance to the showgrounds is Horizon’s Brad Zeigler. The ever cheerful Zeigler is very excited to be able to meet and greet people in person again, he tremendously enjoys his job and knows that the Low Profile horse barn is a key meeting place for folks at the Equine Affaire:
“I can’t tell you how many times I overhear folks on their phones saying they’ll meet someone at the horse barn. Its roof is visible from a good distance and it is centrally located at the grounds, so I guess it makes sense. The center aisle barn offers shelter from the elements, and everyone just loves to walk through the barns we bring and touch and feel the buildings, see the workmanship and take in that delicious smell of fresh wood. Even if they are not shopping for a new horse barn!”
North America’s premier equestrian exposition is filled to the brim with everything horse. Clinics and symposiums, gala nights and exhibitions, top trainers from around the world and of course, plenty of North-East fare with popular clam chowder in a bread bowl and a bevy of dining delights to tempt even the diet conscious equestrian.
Zeigler attends many events in his outside sales role for Horizon Structures, both at K9 shows and horse shows, but the Equine Affaire holds a special place in his heart:
“One of the best things about the Equine Affaire, and there are many, is the happiness of everyone there. People of all ages come together and take time off their jobs to attend, sometimes for all 3 days. At some of the events I go to the attendees are serious and subdued. Not this one. Everyone is there to have fun and a great time and their good energy is palpable.”
When asked, based on his extensive experience at such events, how Zeigler expects the attendance to rate he explained that due to the pent up demand created by the restrictions last year because of the Covid pandemic, that he expects the event to be simply, “The best ever. Both in the numbers of folks that visit and the atmosphere of the show.”
As many people are aware, the prices of lumber and many other raw materials are at an all time high and Zeigler explained that Horizon’s business has seen an incredible ramp up in demand for horse barns, kennels, coops, outdoor living structures and playsets during the past 18 months.
“The demand for horse barns is the highest it has ever been. Horizon Structures will be presenting two barns at the Equine Affaire, and as usual they are available for pre-purchase at a discount rate prior to the show with delivery affected after the show closes. If you are in the market for a horse barn you should know that due to demand the wait time for a new barn is months and months out. We can’t keep structures on our lot in Atglen, PA. We’re shipping nationwide and the buildings ship out almost as soon as they exit the factory. So these two barns, a Low Profile 36’ x 30’ center aisle with five 12’ x 10’ stalls and a 12’ x 10’ tack room and the 10’ x 34’ 3 stall shedrow with the 10’ overhang, are going to be snapped up fast. Please call our office at 888-447-4337 if you want to get in on them now.”
Indeed Horizon Structures ‘lot is hot’ this year, and planning ahead by saving the date for the wonderful event that is the Equine Affaire along with getting busy now if you want any chance of a new horse barn before the snow flies are both smart actions to take to ensure you are not disappointed.
